Three HealthFitness Medically Based Client Sites Awarded MXM Locations of Excellence Award

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — April 16, 2024 — HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, and a leading provider of comprehensive fitness solutions; is pleased to announce that three of its client sites, Corewell Health – Health and Wellness Center, Rochester Hills, MI (formerly Beaumont Health Club); Advocate Condell Centre Club – Libertyville, Libertyville, IL; and Aurora Wellness Center, Burlington, WI; received the 2023 Annual MXM Locations of Excellence Award.
Each award winner has achieved an average score of nine or higher in five member feedback categories. These three medically based health clubs have set themselves apart from the rest, achieving success through their commitment to gathering and evaluating feedback in an effort to provide an exceptional experience for their member population.
Our medically based health clubs take pride in being more than a gym or fitness center. With an overall experience that encompasses a mission to achieve total wellbeing for program participants, patients and members alike, these clubs have found the perfect formula to deliver health improvement-focused programming and services.
What these clubs have in common are thorough cleaning and safety protocols, adequate staffing in all areas and a shared commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. While members’ standards and expectations continue to increase, Corewell Health – Health and Wellness Center, the Centre Club – Libertyville, and Aurora Wellness Center continue to rise to the occasion.
Michael (Mike) Combes, Senior Director, Program Management & Engagement, HealthFitness, who manages the Corewell Health – Health and Wellness Center for Corewell HealthTM, the Centre Club – Libertyville for Advocate Condell Medical Center, and the Aurora Wellness Center for Aurora Health Care, said, “It is impressive that of over 700 clubs nationwide, ours are among the 33 to meet the stringent requirements to receive this award. We pride ourselves on providing a high-quality member experience on each and every visit to our fitness centers. And I’m so proud of all of our employees for their commitment to service excellence.”
Winners are selected based upon two criteria:
Nathan Adams, General Manager of Corewell Health – Health and Wellness Center and three-time award winner, said, “We thank our members for their kind feedback and support of the Corewell Health – Health and Wellness Center. Kim Smith, General Manager of the Centre Club – Libertyville, said, “I'm delighted and honored that Libertyville Centre Club has been awarded the MXM 2023 Locations of Excellence award. It underscores our team's dedication to delivering exceptional service and experiences to our members and validates our relentless pursuit of excellence and member satisfaction. I am immensely proud of our team and grateful to MXM for this prestigious honor.”
Donna Lueth, General Manager of the Aurora Wellness Center, attributed the health club’s success to their amazing, dedicated team that are willing to go above and beyond members' expectations every day. “I am grateful for our talented staff that ensure our members feel welcome, safe and part of our Wellness Center family. This award motivates our team to continue to deliver a high-level member experience,” she said.

- The winner must achieve an average score of 9 in four required categories, and one flex category score of 9.
