MINNEAPOLIS – November 5, 2020 –
HealthFitness is pleased to announce the addition of Chad Barker as senior director, partnerships. In his role, Barker, a Silicon Valley veteran, will develop and cultivate partner ecosystems – groups of organizations with the common objective of driving value for participants.
“I’ve always been drawn to mission-driven organizations and value how HealthFitness is committed to helping people lead healthier lives,” said Barker. “And I’m excited to find partnerships that complement what HealthFitness is doing with our services and solutions to provide an optimal participant experience, whether it’s at work or home.”
Prior to joining HealthFitness, Barker served in a series of senior leadership roles at Google and Intel Corporation, developing partnerships with, among others, Cleveland Clinic, 24 Hour Fitness, Fitbit, Salesforce, and NBC Universal. Barker received his Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude, from Harvard University and his MBA, Emerging Technologies from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
A self-described “operations geek,” Barker will leverage his deep connections in the technology world to identify partners and build and manage programs that offer meaningful participant experiences. “I’m a connector at heart,” said Barker. “I love spotting opportunities to bring organizations together and then determining what we need to do to create scalable programs.”
“The addition of Chad is another key step in continuing to enhance the way we deliver products and services and expand our market footprint,” said HealthFitness Executive Director, Solutions & Partnerships Tim Mertz. “It’s clear to me that Chad possesses the right combination of professional experience, insight, and mindset to help us continue driving our growth while providing more streamlined solutions.”
